She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Clanton DeVane; her parents, William Boney and Sadie Murphy; and her brother Oliver Earl Murphy. She is survived by: her son Ernest Tyrone DeVane (ClarLynda); her grandsons, Ernest Tylin DeVane and Edward Tyler DeVane; her siblings, Harry Murphy (Shelia), Harrison Murphy, Kenneth Murphy (Loretta), Lawerence McCleod, Priscilla Powell and Mary Bryant; her godchildren, Kenyatta Dixon and Matthew Pickett; and her aunt Vencia B. Williams.
