He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burton Kilpatrick, Sr. and Dolly Teachey Kilpatrick of Teachey; his siblings, Dororthy K. Peterson, Lois K. Cooper, John Burton "JB" Kilpatrick, Jr. and Stanley Kilpatrick; and his niece Karen Cooper Neuwrith.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby McIntyre Kilpatrick; his son Harry Graham "Rick" Kilpatrick, Jr. (Kim) of Apex; his grandchildren, Allyson, Lindsey, Sarah Kilpatrick, Gavin, Ryanne Claire Puryear and Brantley Hawes; his stepgrandchildren, Chloe and Todd, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Mildred Fort Kilpatrick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Chapel (612 S Norwood St, Wallace, NC 28466).
