He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Rivenbark and Daisy Bowen Rivenbark; and his siblings, Eloise (Alton Wood), Warren G, Alfred Lee (Margaret), Harrison (Candace), Gene (Elizabeth) and Mick.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Fussell Rivenbark; his daughters, Lynette R. Somers (Greg) and Denise R. Legg (Ryan); his stepson Kevin Rivenbark; his grandchildren, AnnMarie Tolson, Alex Tolson, Logan Legg, Coolidge Rivenbark and Colin Legg; his sister Marshalean Blanton (James); and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Rivenbark and Tama Rivenbark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with a host of very special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Christian Fellowship Church (415 E Cliff St, Wallace, NC 28466). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (408 W Main St, Wallace, NC 28466). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Jack's wish was to honor his memory with memorials to United Christian Fellowship Church, 415 W. Cliff St, Wallace, NC 28466 OR Wallace-Rose Hill Booster Club, 602 High School Rd, Teachey, NC 28464.
