She was predeceased by: her parents, Junice Simmons and Eunice Nance Simmons; her significant other Jimmy Bishop; and her son Robert Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Denise Strickland (David) of Trinity, Penny Gum of Sophia, Tammy Dempsey (Edward) of Archdale and Brian Hughes of Wildersville, TN; and her siblings, James Simmons of Roseboro and Faye Ezzell of Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
