Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ricky leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert King and Nancy King-Waters. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia King; and his children, Schemeker Herring (Chris), Gregory Newkirk-King (Trina), Korie Newkirk and Jer'Ricka Ampy (Andrew). He is also survived by eleven beautiful grandchildren; two precious great-grandchildren; four loving brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at the Adoram Baptist Church (522 N Teachey Rd, Wallace, NC 28466). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Duplin Memorial Gardens (133 John Deere Rd, Teachey, NC 28464).
