She was predeceased by: her parents, Buren Uriah Brinkley Sr. and Elene Carter Brinkley; her husband Bruce Carroll Willard; and her siblings, Blenda Faye McLamb, Peggy Glenda Sholar and Buren Brinkley Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Lynda Hollingsworth; her children, Samantha Swinson (Frankie) of Pender County, Duaine Cavenaugh (Tanya) of Duplin County and Will Canady (Katie) of Duplin County; her grandchildren, Baylie Thornton (William) of Duplin County, Bradley Knowles (Anna) of Harnett County, Brantly Hobbs, Ashleigh Guidry of Wake County, Allena "Alyie" Matthews (Marshall) of Duplin County, Holly Eye and Aiden (SC) of Spartanburg; and her great grandchildren, Lauren, Braylie, Lacey, Savannah, Logan, Dallas, Wrenley, Carsyn, Ryan, Lucas and Carter. She is also survived by grandchildren and bonus great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services (401 W Main St, Wallace, NC 28466). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Potts Presbyterian Church Cemetery (4085 NC-11, Willard, NC 28478).
