She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richmond Mabe and Lula Clark Shelton Mabe; her husband Wilbert Mabe; her son Lonnie Mabe; her grandson Gary Wayne Casteen; and her sister Pencie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Mabe (Patsy Reid) and Sandra "Kay" Mabe Rochester; and her grandchildren, Robert Carlton Mabe, Sandy Casteen Rivera (Lenny) and Becky Mabe East (Gary). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel (1020 Hope Beasley Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
