He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Brooks and Helen Magner Brooks; and his siblings, Betty Jean and Edward. He is survived by: his wife Esther Black; his children, Robert Brooks of Malta, Jill Ann Spector (Andrew Spector) of New City and Clay Matthew Brooks (Megan Brooks) of Covington, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Christopher Brooks, Edward Brooks, Chelsea Keys, Anthony Brooks, Andrew Spector and Samantha Spector. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
