She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Barker and Eunice Yates Barker; and her siblings, Thomas, Jackson, John, Billy Joe Barker and Mary Lee Barker.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Powers; her sons, Allen Powers (Teresa) of Boone and Travis Powers (Kristi) of Creston; her grandchildren, Brittany Powers (Paul) of Boone, Kristin Powers Obiso (Matt) of Boone, Gabriel, Cooper and Autumn Powers of Creston; her great grandchildren, Fiona, Penelope, Florence Powers and Chloe Obiso of Boone; and her siblings, Benny Barker (Jeanette) of Warrensville, Polly Carpenter (Max) of Rotonda West, FL and Jane Holliday of Greenville, VA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
