She was predeceased by : her husband Marvin Holt Coleman, Sr.; and her brother Luther Irvin Perkinson. She is survived by : her children, Evelyn Coleman Taylor (Bruce) of Wake Forest and Holt Coleman (Nancy) of New Bern; and her grandson Landon Holt Coleman.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
