Emma Frances Roth Obituary

Emma Frances Roth, 57, of Warrenton passed away on November 28, 2025. Emma was born on July 27, 1968 in Franklin County, NC to Emma and John Chatman. She was adopted and raised by her loving parents Bill and Shirley Sawyer.

Emma worked as an animal technician at the animal shelter. Her favorite activities, interests, and achievements include Spending time with her husband , children, and grandchildren that she loved dearly. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family. Her and her sister Teresa would get together often for a sister's day out. She had many friends she called family and she loved her pets. She loved all animals. People would often bring her their pets to keep or take care of. She loved to help people in any way she could. She loved to joke and make people laugh.

Additionally, Emma was a member of Warrenton Church of God.

Emma was preceded in death by her birth parents John and Frances Chatman, her adoptive mother Shirley Sawyer, and her brother Thomas Casper Jr.

Emma is survived by her husband, Delos Roth; her children, Jeremy Tyler (Erica), Tonya House (Matt), Trevor Tyler (Brittny), and Erica Troxler; her grandchildren, Daeton Roth, Emmajean Roth, Carlee Tyler, Scott House, Michelle Tyler, Waylon House, Abel Tyler, Cameron Tyler, and Josiah Davis; her siblings, Teresa Rivers (Tim), Johnny Sawyer, Eddie Sawyer (Leigh Ann), Karen Cromer (Larry), Joanna Layman (Brian), Tony Chatman, Timothy Chatman (Summer); a brother-in-law, Damion Roth; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
