With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Winston Short of Warrenton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Bose Eddie Short, Jr. and Annie Barnes Short; his wife Juanita Fay Short; his sons, Danny L. Short, Sr. and Eddie L. Short; and his siblings, Preston Short, Ann Short and Adelaide Short.

He is survived by : his daughters, Nancy Brewer and Sherry Short; his grandchildren, Danny Short, Jr., Phillip Brewer, Dustin Wolfe, Leland Short, Caitlin Frady, Jennifer Short and Sarah Short; and his great grandchildren, Adam Short, Zachary Short, William Short, Stella Short, Carrie Brewer, Lucas Brewer and Marcus Brewer.

The family asks that any memorials be directed to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
