He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion Adell Taylor Moore and Samuel L. Williams; his son John Lewis Williams, Jr.; his grandchild Ja'Eid Watson; his great grandchild Landon Dew; and his grandparents, Eddie, Eva Spruill, Willie Williams and Prealean Alston-Williams.

He is survived by : his children, Shawanda Watson of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Kevin Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his grandchildren, Shateria Watson of Raleigh, NC, Curtis Wade Watson, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Demetrich Anderson of Raleigh, NC, Kevin Williams, Jr. of Williamston, NC, Kebriana Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Kiana Hopkins of Greenville, NC; and his great grandchildren, London Dew, Curtis Watson III, Brooklyn Ensley, Ky'Mier James, Ky'Mia Basnight, Ra'Eid Basnight, Lauryn Hopkins and Gabriella Anderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Because of Covid-19 and RSV, the wearing of masks and social distancing will be practiced at the discretion of each individual.
