She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Jackson and Lillie Mae Pernell; her husband E. C. Cyrus, Jr.; her son Darnell "Otis" Cyrus; and her siblings, Judy Rich and Graham Pernell.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherrie; her son-in-law Regan Finch; her son Freeland; her daughters-in-law, Norma Cyrus and Shirley Cyrus; her sister Colleen Bass; her grandchildren, Tiffany Aughenbaugh (James), Justin Cyrus (Allee), Jason Finch (Kelly), Joe Meyers, III, Nikki Finch Phelps (Travis) and Amy Gilliam (John); her great grandchildren, Autmn Diaz, Amanda Lynn Phelps, Abigail and Savannah Gilliam; and her great great grandchildren, Ava Grace Diaz and Scarlett Rose Diaz.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Faulkner Family Cemetery (1760 Alert Rd, Warrenton, NC 27589). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Grove Baptist Church 834 Alert Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
