He was predeceased by: his parents, Isham Townes and Bertha S. Brown Townes; and his siblings, Frances Parks, Queen Townes, Willie Spencer Townes, Lonnie Townes, Ruth Townes and Lula Greene.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Jones (Dorian) of Warrenton; and his granddaughter Angel Selena Jones.
