He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Stallings and Hope Bell Stallings; and his siblings, Ella Mae, Thelma, Joe Jr., Jimmy and Ruby King.
He is survived by : his sister Christine Shaw; his wife Barbara Lynch Stallings; his children, Christopher Robert (Michele Hodge Stallings), Mackenzie Renee Stallings and Kimberly Kaye Stallings; and his grandchildren, Austin Sydney Riggan and Alivia Hope Newell (Livie).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be made to the Rex Cancer Center, 2901 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
