She is survived by: her father Hubert Merritt, Jr. of Warsaw, NC; her family, Mocksville, Waynesboro, Sanford and Kinston; her sons, Merritt Long of Clinton, NC and Walker Long (Kaya) of Fort Campbell; her siblings, Tracy Merritt of Wendell, NC, Jeff Merritt (Karen) of Warsaw, NC and Lorrie Kester of Princeton, NC; and her close friend Christy Aldridge of Kenansville, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
