She was predeceased by: her parents, Burnice A. Sr. Miller and Pernell F. Miller; and her brothers, Burnice A. Miller Jr. and Anthony C. Miller. She is survived by: her husband John L. Ashford Jr.; and her sons, Brian Ashford, Justin Ashford (Juanita) and Jezrell Ashford (Kandra).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at 124 Water Tank Rd, Warsaw, NC 28398. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
