She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Rufus Bowden, II and Sarah McGirt Bowden; her son Ray Johnson; and her siblings, Samuel R. Bowden, III, Ann B. English (Myron), Sarah B. Scarbrough and Nell B. Clark (Jimmy).

She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Donna S. Johnson; and her nieces and nephews, David Clark (Sue), Sarah Pope (Eddie), Charlotte Bexley (Ken) and David English (Elanie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pet Friends of Duplin County, P. O. Box 152, Wallace, NC 28466.
