It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Goldie Powell of Warsaw, North Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Archie Louis and Alice Ezzell Mathis; her husband Leslie Odell Powell; and her siblings, Archie Wells Mathis, I. J. Mathis (Alice), Edna Bass (Joe), Norma Croom, Evelyn Ennis (Tom), Catherine Hines, Minnie Johnson (Stanley) and Esther Parkhurst (Bill).

She is survived by : her daughter Janet Little (Ken); her granddaughter Melissa Peduzzi (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Hudson and Judah Peduzzi; and her sister Patricia Byerly (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
