She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Fred Eason and Bessie Tyndall Eason; her husband Steven R. Thomas Sr.; her close friend John Brookshire; and her son William F. Thomas.

She is survived by : her son Steven R Thomas, Jr. (Saunda); her daughter-in-law Wilmoth Thomas; her grandchildren, Kelly Thomas (Sue), Thomas Thomas, Don Thomas (Tammy), Jodi E Lavigne and Heather L Thomas (Susan); her great grandchildren, Kristen Cummings (Trey), Joel Thomas (Lindsay), William Thomas (Tyler), Cavan Thomas, Andrew Thomas (Franki), Jessica Thomas, Christina Lavigne, Amber Twisdale (Troy) and Kristel Thomas; and her great great grandchildren, Camden Cummings, Adison Lavigne, Lilly Thomas, Ryder Cummings, Rylee Thomas, Luci Thomas, Serenity White and Kota Twisdale.

She wished for no flowers because "flowers are only good when I am alive".

“I remember Mrs Thomas when I was a little girl. Mr and Mrs Ray Thomas rented my family the house next door to them. I remember her as a sweet, caring lady. I enjoyed spending time at her house with her two granddaughters, Jodi and Heather. Sending love and prayers to the family Pamela Pate Barnes”
