He is survived by : his children, Steven Herring (Thea) of Rocky Point and Connie Herrera (Pete) of Wallace; his grandchildren, Ivy Herring, Sidney Herring and Kaitlyn Maready; and his siblings, Henry Herring (Carolyn) of Clinton, Tommy Herring (Cathy), Bud Herring (Rose), Kathy Quinn (Joe) of Rose Hill, Bonnie Knowles of Magnolia and Carolyn Strickland of Harrells.
