Opal Rosetta Lane King Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Opal Rosetta Lane King of Warsaw, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Rosetta Silance King; her son Billy Ray Hatfield, Jr.; her grandchildren, Christopher Hatfield and Kelly Lowery Collins; and her siblings, Irma King Williams, Ernest King, Jr., Herman King, Marvin King and Carlton King.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Dail of Jacksonville, Betty Lowery (Frinchie "Pete"), Kim Pardue (Currie Butler), Sheila Brock (Danny), Danny Hatfield (Vickie) and Cheryl Hatfield Sanchez (Eric Sinclair); her siblings, Melvin King of Jacksonville and Janice King Holtsford of Swansboro; and her father Ernest C. King, Sr.. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Faison Cemetery. Then covid happened not long after, and she could not be close to her family inside and that was hard.
