She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Emmett Jones and Sallie Barwick Jones; her husband Thomas Alva "Bo" Herring; and her siblings, Hazel Holland, Roberta Chesnutt, Pauline Cottle, Annie Louise Hoover and Dallas Jones, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, J. D. Herring of Kannapolis and William Herring (Rose) of Warsaw; her grandchildren, Samantha Herring Wade (Blake) and Kyle Herring; her great grandchild Hayes Wade; and her sister Carolyn Kimrey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kenansville Baptist Church in Kenansville.
