She was predeceased by: her mothers, Irene Boney Martin and Wilma; her husband Oscar Melvin Herring, Sr.; her sons, Tony Lee Herring and Danny Ray Herring; her children-in-law, Shirley Edwards Herring, Lori Strickland Herring and Douglas Kent Bettenhausen; and her brothers, William Martin (WC) and Bobby Ray Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Mel Herring and Sandra Bettenhausen; her grandchildren, Danna Westerbeek (Kraig), Toni DeVane (Clay), Jonathan Bettenhausen (Laura), Allie Bettenhausen and Heather Catlin (Bryan); her great grandchildren, Kyndall Marshburn (Carries), Kari Roberts (Brady), Kelli Westerbeek Karsyn (Isaiah), Cate, Claire, Carter DeVane, Kaile, Paisley and Eliza Catlin; her great great grandchildren, Leighton Marshburn and Willa Grace Roberts; her brother Irven Martin (Betsy); her sisters-in-law, Colleen Martin and Virginia Herring; her daughter-in-law Bunny Herring; and her close friend Mary Lou Hoy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
