He is survived by: his wife Becky Tingen; his sons, Drew Tingen (Sara Johnson) of Raleigh and Charlie Tingen of New York City; his mother Lib Tingen of Roxboro; his brother Tony Tingen of Raleigh; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Nowell (Al) of Wilson, Larry High (Beth) of Rocky Mount and Bob High (Kathy) of Wake Forest. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
