He was predeceased by : his parents, Archie Edmond Evans Sr. and Beulah Mae Lewis; his siblings, Edmond Lewis Evans, Archie Edmond Evans, Jr. and Yvonne Evans Cutler; and his brother-in-law William Cutler.

He is survived by : his wife Rita Gail Cutler; his children, Rodney McCoy Evans (Kathleen) of Washington, Shannon Brame (Jeff) of Chocowinity and Jaime Burbage (Dean) of Pinetown; his siblings, Ike Evans (Rita) of Washington and Jackie S. Noriega (Michael) of Vanceboro; his sisters-in-law, Joyce of Washington and Sandi Evans of Washington; his grandchildren, Alyssa Matthews (Scott), Madison Ferrell (Josh), Cole Brame, Kaylie Jarvis (David), Braedon Burbage, Shade Evans, Lauren Burbage and Landon Brame; and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Matthews and Eloise Ferrell.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paul Funeral Home & Crematory (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery (180 E 15th St, Washington, NC 27889).
