He was predeceased by: his parents, James Linwood Lupton, Sr. and Colleen Eunice Moore Lupton; and his grandparents, Garland, Ethel Lupton, Myrtle Gold and David Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Krista Lynn Smith; his brother James L. "Jimmy" Lupton, Jr. (Carolyn) of Halifax; his stepson Danny Johnson of Hampstead; and his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth Johnson of Hampstead.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery (180 E 15th St, Washington, NC 27889).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to First Christian Church, 307 E. 3rd Street, Washington, NC 27889.
