She is survived by: her children, Gerald Ely, Jr. of Washington, Cathy Duncan of Doylestown, PA and Emily Mason of Ocracoke; and her siblings, Warren Wilkes of Elizabethton, TN and Betsy Buckingham of York, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
