She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Elks and Emily Elks; her son J. C. Singleton, Jr.; and her spouse Thomas C. Swanner. She is survived by: her former spouse J. C. Singleton; her daughter-in-law Teresa Singleton; her son Marshall Wayne Singleton (Teresa); her grandson Marshall Wayne Singleton, Jr.; her stepchildren, Tommy C. Swanner, Jr. (Pam) and Ann Ange (Joe); and her stepgrandsons, Todd Ange, Zack and Jeff Swanner.
