She was predeceased by: her parents, Charity Louise High Batts and Walter Alton Batts; her brothers, Alton Batts, Jr. and David Batts; and her siblings-in-law, Bryce Percival, Joan Hemby and Geraldine Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, James (Dicky), Kathryn (Kathy), Clarke (Steve) of Cary, NC and Gay Edwards of Washington, NC; her grandchildren, David Buck, Cameron Edwards, Zachary Futch and Alyssa Futch; her sister Elaine Percival; and her sister-in-law Helen Batts. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
