Edna Pfuntner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Pfuntner of Washington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Edna farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Edna is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Romie Hope and Mary Russ Hope; and her son Robert Wayne Lilley. She is survived by: her husband Michael Charles Pfuntner; her sons, Micthell Lilley of Washington and Jeffrey Lilley (Angela) of Washington; and her brother Ray Hope of Washington. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (2516 W 5th St, Washington, NC 27889). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
