He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Pope; his children, Patrice Pope, Takesy Pope, Felicia Paul (Jason), Lalicia Pope (Michael), Quanisha Pope, Fernando Earl Pope, Jr. (Nadazya), Jerdean Pope, Miracle Pope, Simeon Pope (Jana'e), Bersheba Pope, Nephratiti Pope, Majectic Pope, Emmanuel Pope, Samson Pope and Jaquita Joyner; and his siblings, Gregory Gardner, Mary Ann Gardner, Nancy Lee Gardner, Vanessa Eborn White, Sr. and Lisa Crawford. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Washington Funeral and Cremation/Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service (4500 US-264, Washington, NC 27889). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
