Grace C. Sawyer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace C. Sawyer of Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tibious Edmond Clayton and Eula Mae Jordan Clayton; and her husband Ralph Hasting Sawyer. She is survived by: her nephews, Terry, Edward, Arthur, Thomas G, Billy, Eddie Clayton, Don and Jones; and her siblings, Jordan, Edmond, Henry Jesse (HJ), Elizabeth (Betty), Thelma and Naomi. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Cragmont Camp and Retreat Center, 1233 North Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 27811.
