He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his daughter Jackie Mitchell (Bob Parker) of Washington; his grandsons, Daniel May and Jack May (Devin); his siblings, Don Mitchell of Washington, Toni Burkett (Aubrey) of Greenville and Tammy Whaley (Cookie) of Lewiston-Woodville; and his sister-in-law Frances Hoggard (Jennifer Hawkins) of Raleigh. He is also survived by his caregiver; and the family and friends.
