With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lindon L. Alligood of Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lindon has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Carmer Alligood and Mary Louise Whitaker Alligood; his sister Betty Lou Alligood Wilson (Fred); and his brother-in-law Dewey Woolard. He is survived by: his sister Gloria Ann Alligood Woolard of Washington; his niece Mary Etta Wilson Waters; his niece-in-law Dawn Wilson; and his nephew Fredrick Lewis Wilson (Ana) of Virginia Beach.
