It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxwell Conly Cox of Washington, North Carolina, born in Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 19, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Maxwell departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Maxwell. Though Maxwell may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Jennifer Conly Cox and James Maxwell Cox; his siblings, Henry, Lizzie and Jack; and his grandparents, Charles Conly, Edwin and Sally Cox. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
