She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Milton Winstead and Elsie Mae Alligood Winstead; her husband David Smith; and her brother Don Geary Winstead. She is survived by: her children, Holly Sue Ragland (William) of Washington, Lorie Anne O'Neal of Nags Head and Milton Clay O'Neal of Wilmington; her siblings, Kenneth Winstead (Sally) of Washington State and Genevieve Winstead Wallace of Plymouth; and her grandchildren, Turner Ragland, Landon Ragland, Asher Ragland, Grayson O'Neal, Saylor Willis, Reese O'Neal and Archie Ford O'Neal.
