She is survived by: her former husband Robert Lloyd Messinger; her son Michael Lloyd Messinger; her granddaughter Sherrie L. Messinger; her great grandchild Daniel Messinger; and her niece Elizabeth R. Haynes.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Clair's Church of Christ.
