She was predeceased by: her father Robert Joe Lawhead; and her husband Geoffrey McDowell. She is survived by: her mother Lydia Harris Lawhead; her children, Renee Dawn McRoy, Billy McRoy of Washington, Geoffrey Kyle McDowell, Yonica McDowell of Grimesland, Aaron Shane McDowell and Talyna McDowell of Port Charlotte, FL; and her granddaughter Jordan Sharon McDowell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness (1732 N Market St, Washington, NC 27889).
