Shelby Hodges Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2025, at the age of 84, Shelby Hodges of Washington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Griffin and Claudia Sutton Taylor; her husband James Ervin Hodges, Sr.; her sons, Larry Hodges and Jimmy Hodges; and her sister Thelma Chauncey.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Shamberger (John) of Washington, Marty Hodges (Sandy) of Washington and Gary Hodges (Sherry) of Wilson; her stepdaughters, Paulette Cole (Buddy) and Anna Marie Nobles (Tunnie); her grandchildren, Kirk Roberson, Courtney Hodges, Sydney Squires, Carmen Hodges, Taylor Woolard, Seth Hodges, Kyle Hodges, Abby Hodges, Danielle Hodges and Selina Hodges; and her siblings, John Taylor, Terry Connor, Rita Fernandez and Helen Taylor. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fifteenth Street Church of God (336 E 15th St, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
