He is survived by: his children, Michelle Cooper Haney (Robert Haney) of Columbia, N. C. and Shelton Thompson Cooper Jr. (Rhonda Cooper); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Quinn Bland, Evelyn Claire Bland and Eleanor Williams. He is also survived by many extended family members and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Shelton Thompson Cooper Sr. to the Beaufort County Animal Shelter in Washington, NC, to honor his deep love for animals.
