She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Elisha McCarter and Emma Lenier Leggett McCarter; her husband Grady Howell Winstead; and her siblings, William "Bill" McCarter, Roy McCarter, Justice "Red" McCarter, Jack McCarter, Edward "Buddy" McCarter, Joseph McCarter, Jr., Pauline Wester and Louise McCarter.
She is survived by: her children, Terrie Wiggins (Allen) of Farm Life, Grady Winstead, Jr. (Ann) of Beaufort, SC and Emily Taylor of Washington; her grandchildren, Ritchie Keel, Joshua Keel (Tracy), Jessica Wood (Woody), Zach Winstead, Ashlee DeWeese (Jonathan) and Craig Capano; her great grandchildren, Shane Keel, Jolea Keel, Vance Keel, Casey Reed, Riley Perciful, Savannah Perciful and Chase DeWeese; and her great great grandchildren, Camdyn Keel, Bennett Reed and Sagan Clampet.
