She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Earl Hudson and Nellie Rea Elks Hudson; and her spouse Durwood Lee Hodges. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Hodges Toler (Reggie) of Washington, Durwood Lee "Woody" Hodges, Jr. (Pat) of Washington, Sandra Hodges Simpson (Danny) of Washington and Sammy Hodges (Lynn) of Washington; and her siblings, Kenneth "Kenny" Hudson of Chester, SC, Linda Hodges of Warner Robbins, GA and Travis Hudson, Sr.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Paul Funeral Home & Crematory (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
