She was predeceased by: her parents, Gorman Brown Boyd and Minnie Brown Boyd; and her brother James Gorman Boyd. She is survived by: her husband Gary Wayne Woolard; her stepson Gary Hales of Pikeville; her niece Cindy Waters of Washington; her nephews, Chris Jefferson, Jr., Boyd and Dennis Boyd of Washington; her sisters, Thelma Boyd Jefferson of Washington and Elsie Davenport of Washington; her grandchildren, Riley Hales, Lanie Hales, Maddie Hales, Tyler Waters, Matthew Jefferson and Taylor Dunbar; and her great grandchildren, Miller Dunbar and Bowen Dunbar.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pamlico Memorial Gardens (161 Avon Ave, Washington, NC 27889).
