He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack James Waters and Minnie Helms Waters; his son Mark Craig Waters; and his half-brother Sam Wilkinson. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Waters; his sons, Michael Helms Waters (Prue), Gregory "Greg" Stiegler Waters (Anna) and James Matthew "Matt" Waters (Sarah Hill); his daughter-in-law Leigh Waters; his grandchildren, Ross, Kate, Annie, Mary Stuart (Stephen), Caleb (Hannah), McLean (Megan) and Grace; and also, Lola, Lawrence and Amos.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beaufort County Humane Society, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
