She was predeceased by : her parents, William Walter Spittle, Sr. and Docher McManus Spittle; her husband James Lester Lowery, Sr.; her sons, James Lester Lowery, Jr. and Barry Lowery; and her siblings, Ricky Spittle, William "Spin" Spittle and Linda Gordon.

She is survived by : her granddaughter Brandi Howard (Roddey Caskey); her great grandchildren, Chasiti Lowery, Jaidyn Howard and Barry Howard; and her daughter-in-law Carol Lowery.
