It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Shaw Harrelson of Waxhaw, North Carolina, born in Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Buren Harrelson and Ruth Harrelson; his wife Gloria; and his brothers, Edward, Terry Harrelson and Jimmy Rogers.

He is survived by : his children, Susan Adams (Johnny McCaskill) of Mint Hill, Sherry Gary of Charlotte, Shawn McKinney (Matt) of Stanley and Shane Harrelson (Jessica Ellis) of Stanley; and his sister Patricia Story. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
