She was predeceased by: her husband B. J. Howes; and her parents, John Minchew and Daisy Minchew. She is survived by: her daughters, Ginger Howes, Debbie Short (Tom) and Jae Haigler (Rick). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
