He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Tonsy Norwood and Artie Elizabeth Brady Norwood; and his siblings, Walter, Clyde, Pansy and Annie.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Barringer Culpeper Norwood; his children, Larry Norwood Jr. (Angie), Bill Culpeper (Kim), Tammy Foster (Joseph), Lisa Weeks (Mark Whitley) and Kathleen Culpeper; his grandchildren, Noah Gaydos, Emma Montalvo (Justice), Macon Weeks, Siler Norwood (Bristol), Seth Norwood, Michael Culpeper and Elizabeth Culpeper; his great grandchildren, Galilea Gaydos, Nova Gaydos, Luna Gaydos and Blair Hill; and his brother Tommy Norwood.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
